Under 40’s Using Internet For Loan Debt Help

Over the course of the past couple of years or so, there has been an explosion in the number of companies and organisations offering help to individuals struggling to maintain their repayments on personal loans, credit cards and other debts.

Debt help and management companies have seen a huge increase in the number of consumers seeking advice on loan and other debts and this has sadly become one of the largest growth areas in the loan industry in recent years.

Companies and charitable organisations offer many different methods of applying for help with personal loan debts, with one of the methods growing in popularity being on line services.

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) has seen a large increase in the number of people who are now using their web site for the help they require with their loan and other debts. A recent survey has found that it is the age group under the age of 40 who are the most prepared to seek on line help with their loans.

Last year, 150,000 people sought debt help via the CCCS web site and of these, somewhere in the region of two thirds were under the age of 40.

Women are also more likely to use on line loan debt services, with 53 per cent of all enquiries over the past two years being from women. It also seems that lower earners are more likely to use on line debt services, as 40 per cent of people using the service earned between £10,000 and £20,000. Individuals earning above £30,000 only made up around 16.5 per cent of on line enquiries.

With personal debt on loans and credit cards continuing to increase across the UK, it looks as though debt help organisations are likely to continue to grow for the foreseeable future, with on line services playing an important role for consumers seeking advice.
