Loan borrowing options set to further deplete
Consumers looking to source loans, credit cards and mortgages over the coming months will have a tough time in quenching their financial needs according to one source.
A representative for a leading financial trends institution (Capital Economics) has asserted that a national tightening of consumer lending is likely to continue up until well into the latter part of 2008.
It is thought that the economical dilemmas, which are currently affecting numerous different credit institutions around the globe, will take a considerable amount of time to self correct and will therefore leave thousands of loan shoppers with an increasingly limited supply of potential borrowing avenues.
Issuers of credit cards have also become extremely stringent with regards to who can now qualify for their products, and it has also been noted that many thousands of existing customers are also having their borrowing facilities slashed.
Essentially, uncertain times have called have called for uncertain measures and consumers will have a long wait ahead of them before freely available credit re-surfaces.
