Firm to spearhead debt awareness workshops
Scores of adults within the UK will have access to personal training in financial management, should a newly proposed scheme get the green light.
One of the countries premier financial awareness institutes (IFS) is the body set to spearhead the national campaign, following on from a spate of preliminary workshops over the past 12 months. The firm has conducted a number of personal finance coaching courses, whose themes have centred on and around effective budgeting, taking a more positive approach to loans and other forms of credit and debt management.
As expected, the test classes have been a huge success, with the vast majority of candidates agreeing to the usefulness of a national rollout. In addition, a number of leading financial firms, from numerous different sectors of the industry have also made aware their support for the scheme, with spokespeople commenting that such an initiative is well overdue.
The institute also announced that it intends to educate children and younger adults as part of its grand vision, working on the theory that bad debt management skills (and even bad debt) could effectively be quashed if certain mantras are instilled at a young age.
